Over the past three years, The Basin FC have had seventeen players debut in the seniors and all of them have come through our junior program. The upcoming season will see our club take the next step into developing our next group of potential senior players.
With this in mind, it is with great excitement that we announce the appointment of Daniel Den Braber as development coach of our newly created Academy program. Daniel comes from a strong background of developing young players both on and off the field. Daniel has an extensive football background including time with the Eastern Rangers & Captaining both Aquanias Old Collegians Football Club (VAFA) and The Basin Football Club. Daniel also had a highly decorated football career winning six senior best and fairest awards and he represented Victoria in the VAFA six times.
Daniel’s role will see him work with a selected squad of players over multiple age groups from 15 – 22 years of age. Daniel is excited about the appointment and had this to say “With the current list, and the combination of exciting juniors and youth this football club has, I look forward to working with these guys to help take their football to the next level and to represent the club as good respected people within football and life.”
We will be running updates during the season about the progress of the Academy. Stay tuned for more coaching announcements.
