Early sign up day has been scheduled for Friday October 7th, 2016, between 5.30pm and 7.00pm.
As was the case this year, team numbers will again be capped at 26 as per the EFL Rules. The Club is again receiving ongoing enquiries from new players in regard to next season and therefore the early registration night will again assist in managing new players, whilst ensuring that current players are looked after.
The Offer of a Place for 2017 – All players who were registered with The Basin Junior Football Club for season 2016 are offered a place for the 2017 season. For the offer of a place to be accepted, the player must register at the October sign up day – paying a $20 deposit to secure their spot.
Any new players who present to register at the October sign up day will be placed on a waiting list (save for new Under 9 players born in 2008/09) – after paying a $20 deposit. If a place cannot be offered, the deposit will be refunded.
In the event that an existing player does not register at the October sign up day, then as and from 1st November, 2016, their place becomes available to any players on a waiting list
Players Playing out of their Age Groups – from 2014, all players were to play in their correct age group – unless exceptional circumstances were demonstrated. This season as teams were at capacity some exceptions were made to allow players to play up for the current season. All players will be re-assessed and where there is a vacancy, all players will be required to play in their correct age group, unless otherwise agreed by the committee.
The exception to this requirement is where a player has historically played up in the next age group (i.e. prior to the 2014 season).
Player Fees for 2017 – the junior club will be continuing with the online payment system with Fox Sporting Pulse for season 2017, to which there have been changes made by the EFL. There will be information in relation to the new process provided shortly.
The Junior Committee has endorsed that the fees will remain unchanged for season 2017 (inclusive of insurance) as follows;
- First Child $190
- Second Child $150
- Third Child $100
- Fourth Child $0
You will be notified once the online payments are open. However please note all fees (for current and new players) must be paid in full prior to the commencement of the season, to enable players to take the field as these will now include the EFL Insurance component. If financial hardship can be demonstrated, you must contact myself or Lara Ferguson, Junior Registrations, 0437 336 172, in order that a payment plan can be put in place.
